Overview
Finance Fundamentals is a complimentary training program for executives and managers from non-financial backgrounds working with subsidiaries of multinational companies. Designed by our CFO Advisory team, the program develops financial fluency from first principles through to practical application: interpreting financial and management reporting; navigating strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting aligned to group requirements; appraising investment opportunities; understanding M&A, foreign exchange, cash pooling, cost allocation and transfer pricing concepts; and strengthening financial governance. Content is grounded in the Corporations Act, ASIC reporting and ATO transfer pricing concepts. The self-paced, online program spans five modules with over 20 sessions, including key finance and accounting concepts, worked examples, case studies and emerging themes: 1. Establishes the foundational language of finance and Australian regulatory environment for multinational subsidiaries. 2. Develops the ability to interrogate financial statements and management reporting. 3. Covers the group planning and budgeting cycle, including how to build and defend a local budget to head office. 4. Addresses capital investment appraisal, risk management, treasury and transfer pricing concepts. 5. Connects performance management, governance and emerging themes to the participant's own role.
