Overview

Finance Fundamental is an online finance program for executives and managers from non-finance backgrounds working in growth-stage Australian private companies. The self-paced program develops financial fluency from first principles through to practical application: analysing financial statements and lender covenant metrics; building budgets and cash-flow scenarios; appraising capital investments; managing financial risk and supplier credit terms; and understanding growth funding options. Designed by our CFO Advisory team, content is grounded in Australian regulatory and accounting frameworks, including the Corporations Act, ASIC requirements, ATO principles and Australian Accounting Standards. It includes key finance concepts, emerging themes, worked examples and practical case studies relevant to privately held businesses. • Module 1 establishes the foundational language of finance and the Australian regulatory environment for private companies. • Module 2 develops the ability to read and interrogate financial statements, cash flow and lender covenant metrics. • Module 3 covers budgeting and cash-flow scenario planning through to a board-approved plan. • Module 4 addresses capital investment appraisal, risk management, supplier and trade-credit terms. • Module 5 connects performance management, board governance and growth funding options to the participant’s own role Enrol to strengthen financial literacy and confidence for board, executive and lender discussions and to develop a more assured approach to financial decision-making as the business grows.
